Project Description

In our web application users can create training material which has a series of steps. Currently we allow users to create these new training processes which involves creating a series of steps that can be nested. Users currently get to only choose the text in the steps. We would like there to be a way for users to record instructions using their webcam for each individual step. This would allow other users that are viewing that training process to view the associated instructional video for each step. We will provide an additional flow diagram illustrating the flow of clicks.

The proposed api to integrate to accomplish this task is We are willing to consider alternatives if you have a good reason for doing so (cameratag/mailvu etc).

Implementation considerations:

Keeping track of which video is attached to which step after it is uploaded to nimbb. So that when users only access that particular process they would see the embedded video for that step.

Creating a mechanism for users to delete a video from a step and redo taking a new video.

Having the embedded video player show up in a pleasant user friendly way.

Creating a button addition for when creating and editing a step that once clicked launches the webcam recording capabilities.

In your application please submit an outline of the steps in your solution and any considerations that you might have.

You must be familiar with ruby and rails development. Must be familiar with the cucumber/rspec testing frameworks as we require tests to consider the feature complete. Must be familiar with javascript/coffeescript as you will require to embed the nimbb js api.
