Project Description

(This project was formerly posted as a PHP project, but it's being re-posted one last time as a Ruby project, plus other updates, after community feedback)

Please bid honestly and competitively.

WHAT: This project is the first step in creating a next-generation social network. If the site is done well, more projects over the website’s lifecycle can be expected.

BENEFITS TO YOU: Beyond normal pay, there are MONETARY BONUSES on this project for exceeding quality and time expectations (all paid via [url removed, login to view] Payment System). Further, good performance on this project can lead to you being awarded one or more follow-on projects on [url removed, login to view] without having to compete.

WHO: I’m looking for freelancers (individual, team, or company) with excellent communication skills (in English). For this stage of the project, I’m looking for a freelancer who has outstanding experience and skills in Ruby, HTML or XHTML (XHTML or HTML5 preferred), AJAX, Javascript, CSS, and an ability to choose an appropriate database solution for a site expecting huge scalability requirements. Web Developers who use development tools, such as Ruby on Rails framework or an IDE, and who have a structured method for web development, are most preferred. ISO certification a plus.

GUIDANCE: Very clear and specific guidance is provided for you to minimize the guesswork and to make it easier for you to accurately estimate cost/time.
