Project Description

I am developing an e-commerce web application using [url removed, login to view] MVC3 and need a skilled CSS, HTML and Jquery programmer to provide the finishing touches to our application and give it the ultimate professional touch so that I can focus on the Server Side Programming. I am looking for the following skills:

Clean CSS Coder

Div-based HTML / HTML5

MVC3 using Razor Viewing Engine (This is not an absolute requirement)

Progressive Enhancement

I have already purchased a professional Administration Template to be used throughout the web app, therefore the graphic design, layout and cool Jquery effects are there already. This template is tested to be compatible with different browsers, therefore cross browser compatibility should not be an issue. The Template also uses progressive enhancement and is able to display correctly on mobile devices as well, by removing ‘extra bits’ at smaller resolutions.

The site is at it early stages and currently consists of 6 pages (1 index page, 2 forms, 2 containing tabular data and 1 Print Preview Page). 4 of these have already been styled, but need some work to be perfect.

For this project, your job will consist simply in applying the template CSS to the web app, including error messages, tables, forms as well as fix any issues related to javascript, including simple client side data validation and also layout and alignment so that the overall appearance of the site is solid using the major browsers, including :

Firefox 3+

Opera Mobile / Mini

Mobile Devices (Android / IPhone )

The Authors of the Template have a demo site therefore knowing what CSS to apply is straight forward using fire-bug.

Your Creative input is very welcome and any proposed changes should be approved by me first by submitting a sketch of the final page layout. I will also be providing you with other sites that have good design for extra inspiration.

Additional CSS styling should be placed in a separate provided folder /files to make sure the original template is not modified. You will be granted FTP access to the HTML / CSS / JQuery Folders, and you will be allowed to create files /folders as required. Please note this is an [url removed, login to view] MVC3 web application and the HTML will contain webscripting code, but this should not be a problem if you are familiar with PHP or any other leading scripting language. The forms are fully functional so you can add/ delete/ edit data for testing purposes.

Consider this a proof of concept project and if you provide us good quality work at a reasonable cost, more jobs will be offered in the very near future. Please provide samples of your latest works if available.
