I use google docs for managing workflow at my company. I have a google spreadsheet template that I use to create a workflow spreadsheet for each project. There are certain due dates located in cells in the spreadsheet. These due dates occasionally change during a project. I would like to be able to have a canned email be sent as a reminder sent one week prior to the due date and one day prior to the due date. It would be sent to the address or addresses found in another cell on the spreadsheet. I have another cell that already exists in the spreadsheet that indicates whether the action item has been completed. I would like another canned email to be sent if the deadline has passed and the task has not been completed. I would assume that this would be set up in a way which would easily allow me to make a copy of the template for each project and the functionality mentioned above to exist on each new spreadsheet.
