Project Description

I need some changes made to an existing website.

Specifically, I need the site to work on an iPad. Currently, the site uses Flash.

The function I need coded without Flash is a portfolio. The portfolio contains a FEATURED AREA, where the main image is displayed, a TEXT AREA, where there is a caption for the photo, and a SLIDER WITH THUMBNAILS that controls the display.

Please see the attached image showing the page from the site.

I don't want to change the coding for the page. I want to drop in your code to control the slider. I just want to change the code for that part of the page only, if possible.

Also, if possible, I don't want to have to code separate versions for iPads and for regular computers. Ideally, we can have the same code working for all platforms.

The functionality is like this:

When a user clicks on any of the thumbnails displayed, the site shows that image in the featured area.

The user can also click the left or right area on the site to flip through the thumbnails.

The slider shows 5 thumbnails, but clicking left or right will show many more. There is no limit, really, to the number of thumbnails and featured images the page can have.

Currently -- using Flash -- there is a little animation of the thumbnails sliding in the slider after being clicked. If possible, I would like to replicate that without Flash.

What I am looking for from you:

1. Please propose a solution. How will you code this to eliminate the Flash?

2. Have you coded something similar in the past? What experience do you have on this type of thing?

3. How much will you charge for this? How long will it take you?

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your time.
