The idea is to make a page that would make it easy to build a sensor solution which consists of a base unit (SensorGateway) and up to 2 external probes
See attached document for a quick mockup. It should have a cool (nice) web 2.0 design - so very very user friendly!
Optional parameter is showprice By default it is set to 1, if set to 0 then no pricing is shown in cart div
The cart should be a div where first the sensorgateways are shown and grouped and total quantity shown and total and total price So columns to show are SKU, Product name, Quantity, Price (only price if showprice=1) Under the Sensorgateways the Probes are shown, grouped per type of probe and same as above. The user should be able to change the quantities in a dynamic way: by clicking on an item an overlay window is shown with the product name and quantity. If set to 0 then it is deleted
When adding a sensor it should work in 2 ways:
User selects his base unit (product category "Base") from the drop down list (currently we only have one which is the SensorGateway) - upon selecting the base unit, it is shown as image on the right . The user can then select (or not) Probe 1 and Probe 2. The probes would have as product category name "Probes". He can select up to 2 per base unit. When he has selected 1 or 2 then they are shown under the base unit image on the right of the selection tool. He can then define the quantity he wants of the configuration he made, default value is 1
When the user clicks on the add to cart button, then it is added to above cart div
In the above cart there is a button Check Out Upon clicking that it sends in a get request following data as parameters:
SKU=Quantity (this for each SKU) URL is defined in html source.
