Project Budget$250 - $750 USD
Insert the image content from the local clipboard as an image tag with the binary data encoded as a base64 img-data block, that the browser can display as a photo inside the image editor. The purpose is to enable the user to insert an image in a webbased editor, without the need to first upload the image. This is already possible in TinyMCE when using Firefox, but we need it to work in both Chrome, Firefox and IE9. Google Docs can do it crossbrowser, so it is technically possible.
On the server side the binary data from the pased image tag should of course be converted to a binary file that can be referenced as a URI when the document is displayed and edited in the future - and the tag be converted to a usual img tag. We will take care of this conversion, but if you don't use Base64 encoding (for some reason) then we need to know how to decode it. We also expect you to implement this in a way that doesn't make it impossible to do this conversion.
We would be willing to pay more if the delivered code can work like the Web-uploader at [url removed, login to view], where you can both upload, paste from clipboard and drag/drop an image from the file system.
