Project Description

We need a simple javascript image slider on our product pages that can display the relevant images from a folder that contains our entire product imagery.

The images are prefixed with the item code (eg: CO2B4) and finish with a number system: '[url removed, login to view]', '[url removed, login to view]', etc.

eg: [url removed, login to view]

We already know how to use some .aspx code to grab the relevant item code and set this as a javascript variable.

We need the slider to be able to use client side scripting to do the following:

1) Using the item code variable and file path, Loop to find each available image: Eg: [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], etc.

2) When an image returns an error (because it doesn't exist), ignore this image and only [url removed, login to view] the ones found so far.

3) We would then like to repeat a similar process to find and add an animated gif file if it exists in the folder (some products do not have this, so only needs to show it if it does exist).

We would like the image slider to have clickable thumbnail images down the bottom left, underneath the main image, so that when you click on these it displays the relevant big image.

This should be first built and perfected on your own system, and then we will implement the code on our system using the correct variables, etc. But you will need to make sure it is ready to use with the file naming convention we have used.

It might make more sense to create a server-side solution with aspx, but we would prefer a universal approach using Javascript.

The slider should also have fade transitions and be supplied as open source and as a minified version.

Many thanks
