Two URGENT problems on our website: • The website has slowed down dramatically in the last week due to an unexplained surge in MySQL activity. It has also been crashing more frequently. • We have more than 15,000 unauthorized user accounts. We'd like to find out what is causing the slowdown and fix it, as well as optimize the site for speed. There is also one component (Listbingo) that always loads extremely slowly, we'd like to see if this is part of the overall site speed problem or not. If Listbingo (or any other component) is a problem, we can remove. We'd like to eliminate the unauthorized user accounts (while keeping our 900+ legitimate user accounts) and protect so that these fake users can't get into our site again. This is a good opportunity for a skilled, responsive partner. Do a good job here and there's a good chance you can get a lot more work from us!

hi, i'm British and available immediately, I also have 12+ years sorting out linux and mysql. This is not rocket science, there's no great mystery, you've already well defined the parameters of project. What I'd like to see is an overall increase in performance since 15,000 users is actually really quite tiny even if they are fake. The mystery would be why you were targeted in the first place and to prevent it again. I'd suggest a) Tune the server up with the 15,000 fakes so that when removed you have plenty of headroom for the future. b) audit the website and logs to look for any anomalies, at this may be a distraction.
