Upgrade Sites to Joomla 2.5 with Virtuemart - Three Sites
- Status Closed
- Budget $250 - $750 USD
- Total Bids 23
I am looking for someone who has experiencing upgrading Joomla sites with a Virtuemart store. You MUST demonstrate experience with VIRTUEMART upgrades to get this bid. I have hired someone else for this with a lot of Joomla experience, and they failed to complete the project. First you will need to upgrade Virtuemart, possibly twice, once to a current Joomla 1.5 version, and then to a Joomla 2.5 version. You must test the process first, and then when we decide to do this on the live site, it must be done quickly so that the site is down for as little time as possible.
There are three sites here. Bid one amount for all three, but indicate your estimated milestone amount for each site.
Site 1 - Simple virtuemart store built in Joomla 1.5, rockettheme template, needs to be upgraded to 2.5, no major changes to cosmetics, no template change, no feature changes.
Site 2 - More complex store built in Joomla 1.0, site needs a facelift. I built a new front end for the site in Joomla 1.5 with a different template which the customer likes. You will implement this new front end template, content and cosmetics in Joomla 2.5, and then add the Joomla 1.0 store content, customers, past invoices, etc.
Site 3 - Complex community-based store/site built in Joomla 1.0. Similar to #2, except more complex with community builder. There are a number of other components that need to be moved to newer Joomla 2.5 products, including:
- Acajoom mailing list - need to move to new product (custom SQL export and reimport and setup)
- AEC Subscription Manager - consider moving to Community Builder Subscriptions (custom SQL export and reimport and setup subs)
- Attend Events - move to DT Register (custom sql export and reimport and setup)
- MxComment - move to new commenting system - recommendations?
- RSGallery2 - move to Joomla 2.5 gallery system - recommendations?
- Upgrade google maps, community builder, ads manager, JCE editor, etc.
Please provide an estimate for EACH site and a total bid for all three. Prior to choosing you, I will give you a chance to look at the site and reconfirm your bid.
We will do this in order of simplicity to complexity. I will only give a milestone deposit on the first site. You need to prove that this is simple for you before I give you the more complex projects.
If you have done Virtuemart upgrades before for Freelancer clients, please list those projects, because that will be a key determination for me. The lowest bids will not win this project - I need PROVEN competence in doing these very complex upgrades.
I am part of a team of full-time Joomla devleopers in the US. We do this kind of work frequently for our active clients, so it will be VERY apparent if you do not know what you are doing. These particular three projects are for .orgs that we do work for free or are for old clients who are not paying for this, so I need to find a less expensive way of getting this done than using our US team. If you are a Joomla/Virtuemart pro, however, I have about 50 Joomla sites that need to be upgraded.
I expect to pay about $50-200 per site for this kind of work, and ideally, I will find someone who is REALLY GOOD that I can give additional Joomla work to later for about $15 per hour.Get free quotes for a project like this
