Im trying to add jevents ([url removed, login to view]) event calender into a joomla site (1.5.9).
I am trying very hard to meet the customer requirement that I should not put the joomla site into 1.0 legacy mode. I believe I need to do that in order to get jevents [url removed, login to view] installed. So instead I was trying to install jevents 1.5 alpha 3 which supposedly is 1.5 native, but I was running into trouble getting it to work. I understand it is alpha, but it is a stable alpha and the customer accepts the risk.
Client wants an events list
(like [url removed, login to view] "Latest JEvents" listed on the right of that page)
and a mini calendar
(like [url removed, login to view] "JEvents Calendar 1.5" on the right hand side of that page)
on their front page,
and another page running the full month view
(like [url removed, login to view] )
events would be added from an events add page or from the back end, whatever. Besides that, nothing special: its just 1 person adding the events. events are publically visible, etc.
If you know something besides jevents that will do the job and will run in 1.5 native, thats fine by me. If theres no option but to run in legacy mode, I will probably get approval but they really dont want to do that.
Offering 70$ USD if you can get it not running in legacy 1.0 mode. 50$ USD if we have to run in that mode.
At bid acceptance ill send you the joomla admin account and ftp credentails into the site. I will back up the site before you go in there, but please back up the files you modify (i.e. if you edit [url removed, login to view], then your new file is called [url removed, login to view] and the old file is called index.bak-mmddyy )
It would be great if you can have this done by monday, however 1/28/09 is the deadline for this project, it must be finished by then.
