Project Description

I need three significant and factual articles for a property lettings business. I am happy to accept bids for all or individual articles but I must stress that these need to have original content and the writer should have a good understanding of the sector. These must be topical and relevant to landlords in Scotland and as such should refer specifically to Scottish law and developments. English development may be used as reference for learnings/comparisons etc. These are to be posted on a blog of a new company and I am looking to develop a long term relationship with a writer(s). All articles should have a professional. technical and academic feel to them with inclusion of statistics and graphs if necessary.

One should be on the new tenancy deposit scheme. It should include: Learnings from the English implementations of the scheme. Changes to processes such as inventory (comment on whether this needs to be independent firm, new stringency required etc), comment on take up from landlords and letting agencies and fines and consequence for non-compliance. Overview of the options in detail - pros cons and affiliation of each of the approved schemes. It should also detail industry sentiment and early experiences and feedback. Any other relevant points the writer thinks valid.

One should be a more academic economics article on housing in the UK and Scotland in particular with focus on the rental sector stock. Comment on provision and availability of credit and accidental landlords should be included. Limited reference can be made to international issues. Letting trends in the UK and Europe populations should be included. A focus on rental prices and capital prices of properties. This article should be focus strongly on outlook with particular reference to the City of Edinburgh.

One article should be a focus on the Edinburgh rental sector. Demand/challenges/opportunities perceived effects of increased private student housing stock (dedicated blocks) and the potential effects on the market in general. Comment on whether this will effect demand/ expectations of students. Job market in general should be commented on with levels of employment and particular comment on banking sector and the effect any changes in this sector has had in recent years and its links to the demands in housing from professionals.
