The client, a car navigation system manufacturer, is aiming at the mass market in countries in Asia. The client is interested in understanding whether or not any legal or regulatory conflicts exist at each stage of processes for pursuing sales of car navigation system in those countries.

Q-1. Are there any restrictions when the following function is equipped in car navigation systems for sale and use in your country?
a. The function to display the location of speed cameras (cameras set by the police to catch speeding cars) on the map screen of the car navigation system.
Q-2. Are there any restrictions when the following function is equipped in car navigation systems for sale and use in your country?
b. The function to display the police’s check points on the map screen of the car navigation system. This is enabled by the feature of receiving traffic information data via FM radio broadcast on the car navigation system.
4. Survey Methods:
For each questions please conduct both literature search and interviews to requested authorities and relevant parties.
Literature search is to look through all the references with all the conceivable means such as internet, libraries, databases, etc. to find whether if there's any regulations or law that regulates whatever the question asks. There may be more than one law that regulates whatever each question asks, so please go through all the relative law and regulations.
Interview is to contact each relevant authorities in the target countries and get the concrete assurance that whatever the question asks is not regulated or is regulated. When they tell you that it is regulated please ask them to specify the reference material so that you can fill the required section in the answer sheet.
When there is law, regulation, or anything else that regulates whatever the question asks, its "provision" and "interview" is required to be filled into each rows of "Basis for answer".
"Provision" consists of name of the reference(s) that regulates (i.e. Name of Act or Law), url of the website where the reference can be obtained (pdf file if it's not available via internet), extraction of relevant sentence(s) where it regulates, English translation of that relevant sentence(s).
"Interview" consists of the list of interviewees you got the answer from. Please ask all the relevant authorities, bodies, individuals whom you may be able to get answer from. The interviews are required for the authorities that fall under the general names picked up for each questions in the survey sheet. It is not necessary to get answers from the interviewees since it depends on the interviewees' convenience most of part, but please try to contact them so that there are greater chances to achieve answers.
6. Deliverables: Deliverable should be in English and typed into the Google drive's spread sheets.
