I have a VPS server (running linux and plesk) from 1and1. Unfortunately, plesk adds a new mail account for a domain and allows smtp authentication for sending mail through the server but there are two problems.
1.) if mail is sent out to the domain itself even though the server is not really the authoritative MX mail server for this domain, it will attempt to deliver locally rather then resolving the actual MX record for that domain on the internet.
2.) if I create a different domain to send from, plesk and the vps require that I use that email address which is setup as a mail account for this alternate domain to be the from address when sending mail.
I believe plesk is using postfix.
I believe I need the following.
1.) probably need to disable plesk.
2.) create a smtp authentication so that the end user who is authenticating can use any from address they wish. This way, we can send email to any domain we wish as this server will not be the main mail server (authoritative MX) for any domain.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4.) Coder agrees that no partial payment shall be due for partial work. This is a small project and must be completed 100% for any payment to be made
