-Harden and secure the server
-look at the logs in Direct Admin and solve all the issues that are appearing in the logs in direct admin and other logs.
open port 5836 and send instruction on how to open and close ports for the future
-install a security certificate that we bought from godaddy on the server/site
-take a look at the ips on the server and how they are configured on the site, i have always been confused on the set up of the ips and the way they are pointing to my main site and the way my main domain for my site from go daddy is pointing to the server. also configure the ftp and secure [url removed, login to view] ftp to the main site. im not being able to log to the ftp and now i have no idea what is the user name and pass for it.
-also there is , i think some writing permission issues on the server because the way the server was harden and secured the first time. for example i tried installing wordpress 2 times and always had problem installing it, or it installs then it wouldnt post, im sure there is a problem.
-check the ip tables and how they work, they were installed when we first secured the server and have no idea if they are effective or not or how they work exactly.
-Monitor the server for one month after everything is done and check all logs in direct admins throughout the month to check any preformance/security issues.
-check any thing that is causing memory leakage in the server, i have red5 installed for the voice server(we have voice chat site) and the server is 8gb memory. i noticed when we restart everything is fine and we have about 5 gigs of free memory, then after a week or so, free memory is about 1.5. also monitor red 5 and the server for any preformance and connectivity issue and fix them if needed through out a month as many times i noticed the voice disconnects and people on the site who are voice chatting lose connectivity to voice for a [url removed, login to view] issues is very important to see what causing the voice to drop from red5.
-figure out a way to back up the wholeserver incase an emergency happen all i have to do is take that file and put in on another server.
- protect server from DDOS and other kind of attacks
- send full instruction on how to monitor and check server and what to do
-do all of the above while considering we have an active voice chat site that have users all the time on it, so we wanna keep any downtime very mimimal
