wpa_supplicant ibss rsn ht40 in Debian Voyage

I need to create an ad-hoc network using wpa_supplicant running over Debian Voyage (Debian Squeeze for embebed devices). I try to it but or AP's don't connect or throughput is at most 15mbps or so... I need something nex to to the maximum theorical of 300mbs for my interfaces, Ubiquiti sr71a.

I didn't know you're allowed to do ad-hoc network on HT40 ? Some special patches in that distro? Maybe that's why it's not working.. I can however create AP-STA in HT40.. I'm very skilled in wifi/networks.
