Force Xorg to use defined display even if it is not plugged in

So, I have embeded system that is connected to a TV with HDMI.

I have problems when TV turns off, xorg acts like it's unplugged and my opengl program loses controll and starts to render at some insane FPS.

I wan't you to configure Xorg so it acts like TV is plugged in all the time, regardless if it's on or off. In other words, I want system to be display-agnostic, by defining a specific display.

I'm using xorg [url removed, login to view], updated ubuntu [url removed, login to view] and fglrx drivers. You have to make this working only with this system. I will let you ssh in and help you with all details you need.
