Project Description

Hi Impylse,

I have been looking through a number of design portfolios on Freelancer, and I liked your work. I have a logo animation that I am looking to get done. My company does software porting development, and a lot of our work is for game developers. So, we are looking to develop a 6-8 second animated splash screen that could be used during the loading screen of the games that we help port.

I'd like to get three or four different preliminary design studies, and then choose one to finalize.

In terms of what I want, there's a lot of disagreement about that in the office. ;-) I've always hated jerks who say things like, "I don't know what I want, but I'll know it when I see it," but that's about where I'm at at the moment. I basically want our logo to do something cool and sexy and animated, and then to resolve into either "Powered by " or "Multi-platform porting by " There would need to be music accompanying this, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for you. Optimally, if the animation is good, we might use a more subdued treatment, without music, for our non-gaming OEM customers. That is to say, an animation that might feel right for the loading screen of a game, might not be right for the loading screen of, say, a Bible software package. But let's tackle the games splash screen first--that's our most pressing need.

If you're interested, I would also be happy to send you some examples of my attempts to create an animation, which were then rejected by some other folks around the office. ;-) However, I was only using 2D tools and various video effects from FinalCut, not real 3D animation tools.

Rates and time for completion can be flexible. We are not in a super big hurry for this.

Thank you for your interest.
