Using Osirix, I want to take our dicom data from our Hitachi Airis Elite MRI machine and turn them into 3D color using volume rendering and auto-segmentation i.e. bone is white...muscle red...ligaments another color...tendons another etc. I want to be able to print out the 3d color image for patients before they leave our facility. I would like to have the patient leave with a 3d color image with multiple windows so they get too see different angles around their particular body part. I also want to set up a server so that the patients images can be accessed by their referring physician via the internet. I want the referring physician to be able to pull up their patients images and be able to rotate them...slice through them...zoom in and out etc. I know I will need some custom algorithms because we have multiple data sets and we are scanning in 3 different directions...sagittal axial and coronal....so i need to have those data sets line up with the voxels(registration)to get a good 3d volume rendered image. I also want the software to autosegment and postprocess the data so that we just send it to the server and or print it. I dont want to have to do any post processing on site.
