Given a grid of N where we choose a set number of cells K, we know we can calculate the combinations using N choose K ([url removed, login to view]).
However, given the unique results of N choose K if we were to calculate the distance between each point K from one another and sorted from smallest to largest. For example, imagine that given a 5x5 grid we were to select (0,0), (0,1) and (0,2). We would iterate through each cell and calculate the distance using [url removed, login to view] From there we would sort the results from lowest to highest. This ordered list would be 1 unique sequence.
The first goal of this project is to provide a formula for calculating the number of unique sequences available given N and K. The second goal of this project is write a node script which streams these sequences to files. For each time a combination is found to produce a given unique sequence as described above, append it to a file creates using the sequence as a name. For example, a sequence of [url removed, login to view] might contain (0,1), (0,2), (1,1) etc as a line of txt.
