Project Description

For a real-time and interactive 3D presentation on mobile devices we are looking for a skilled person or small business to do low poly retopolisation of a high poly industrial 3D object.

The goal is to have the best possible match in shape and form. The low poly 3D model has to be around maximum 2000 tri's, so clean and orderly work is a must.

We allready did some inhouse testing with a model the client provided and found that the best workflow for this is to do manual retopolisation in Maya, zBrush or the likes of 3D coat.

We just need a - I can't stress this enough - clean and orderly modeled mesh. We will take the mesh and do the uv-layout and surface details baking from the high poly model ourselves ... this is why the low poly model needs to be clean and have the best possible match to the high poly model.

Offcourse we are aware that not every high res detail can be included in the low res model so you will have to make some creative decisions, but we will assist you with that.

For now we are doing a paid(!) test with one 3D object - we will select more that one provider and have them all do this paid(!) test.

This is a big industrial project with a number of high poly 3D objects that all need to be converted so we are looking for the most professional and communicative partner to work with.

This test with this object should take a skilled person around 1 day's work.

So this is not a big budget job but as I said, this is only a search for the best placed person to work with on a bigger project - so please, do not try to impress us by making promisses you can't live up to or underbudget just to get this job.

We've been in the 3D business for almost 15 years and know from firsthand experience what can be done in an amount of time for a specific budget.

We have a strict deadline and we will need you work by the end of the week, but the sooner the better !

That being said - all you enthousiastic hobby modelers, vague IT companies and students looking for some extra cash ... PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS CALL !!!

We will need to see some reference models, preferably low poly wireframes of game models - a direct link to that part of your website will do.

This is not our first post on [url removed, login to view] and last time I had to weed trough tens of well ... crappy "portfolios" :) ... to find the few skilled people we could actually work with.

So only apply if you are a 3D professional with a proven track record and a portfolio to show for it!

Looking forward to hear from you and hopefully work with you I wish you all the best.
