Overview
Create a simple MS Access database. Allow me to import data from MS excel spreadsheets into the database. Allow me to manually input data into some additional fields after import. Allow me to query and report on data.
Students, unemployed and retired persons are welcome to quote. Persons under 18 welcome to quote with parent's permission and supervision.
Scope of Work
1. Create a database
1.1. Create database using MS Access
1.2. Create a single table in the database with 16 fields
2. Import data from MS Excel
2.1. Create an easy to user import method that allows a user to:
a. Open the MS Access database
b. Search for and select an MS Excel file on their computer
c. Import data from the MS Excel file into the database
2.2. Ensure the import method performs error checking:
a. The import method must perform checks that avoid importing blank records from the spreadsheet
b. The import method must perform checks that avoid importing duplicate records from the spreadsheet that already exist in the database
3. Create queries and reports
3.3. Create queries and reports that allow a user to:
a. sort and filter data by one or more fields
b. sort and filter data by a data range
c. display the sorted and filtered data in a report
Data to Import
File format: MS Excel (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls, .csv)
Columns of data to import per tab: 10 (one column of data relates directly to its own field in the database)
Tabs in the spreadsheet: 6 (Each tab represents a particular state or territory. The format of the data in each tab is the same).

Ownership
The database will be owned by me to be used and changed by me without any restriction from the developer
The developer may also use a copy of the database and any macros and scripts created for their own purposes
Location of Database
The database must be provided in its entirety so that it can be stored locally on a computer. The database must not be designed so that it can only be used remotely or in the cloud.
Security
The database must not be password protected
All macros and scripts (if any) must be accessible by me
Pricing
I prefer to be charged a fixed price for the work.
Additional charges for additional scope are to be negotiated prior to additional work commencing.
Payment
Payment via cash, EFT or paypal - your choice
I prefer to pay once work is complete, tested and accepted (ie confirmed to be working). Milestone payments will be considered but conditions will apply.
Selection of supplier
I will have a look at the quotes I get over the coming days and choose the person who I think is the best fit for the work.
