Project Description

Create a module for an existing ACCESS 2007 database. System is Windows-based (MAC compatibility is not required).

a. The user inputs the data relative to the individual property record

b. When the command labeled DONE is selected coding determines if property was previously mapped. If it has not, a form (MAP PANE) opens.
Database fields (i.e., Street No., Street, City, Parish / County, State, Zip Code) are used to create the google map via the map search engine.

c. Once property is accurately located the geo-coordinates are obtained and recorded in the database for future use in mapping. (Table and field names are already present in Dbase and can be supplied later). NOTE: Map function will allow user to edit or change mapping results pulled from the database before saving; i.e., user will be able to manipulate push-pin to accurately locate property (reverse geocode). User should be allowed to verify final ‘marking’ of the location before the geo-coordinates are recorded in the database.

a. MAP IT! Command: MAP PANE form opens and selected records are group-mapped based on previously recorded geo-coordinates (if property was not previously mapped, have message box: Example: Record No 1365 was not mapped. Do you want to proceed with group mapping or end and map the individual record?” or something to this effect.)

b. Push-pins are labeled (Ex. 1, 2, 3, 4 or A, B, C, etc.)

c. MAP PANE form now shows a legend down its right side reflecting the referenced data points
(Example: Push-Pin 1 Label: 4520 Sharptop Avenue, $[url removed, login to view]; Push-Pin 2 Label: 4523 Sharptop Avenue, $[url removed, login to view], etc. (Push-pin labels are based on data in database relative to the selected record.)

d. Command buttons on MAP PANE form allow the user to do the following:

• View Map as Street View
• View Map as Photos View (replicate or use current Google capability)
• View Map as Aerial View (replicate or use current Google capability)
• Zoom In / Out
• Print final map to PDF (Adobe)
• Close Map Pane
