Hello,
You had already bid on my project but unfortunately I have been busy lately and ran out of time to award the project to anyone. I am very interested in workign with you on this. I am pastign the projects details below and a reminder that you had bid UD$390 for the project.
Project:
*Android application for smart phone and tablet
*Basic offline price look up against an *.xls/*.csv spreadsheet
*Up-datable database
We require an application which allows us to look up prices by searching our product codes while OFFLINE.
Using partial search strings (eg: “WD25” should return everything containing “WD25” in the code field (not the description field)
We can export our full pricebook as *.xls or *.csv and would need the ability to update the database after any price changes which would allow current pricing to be available offline.
Pricelist is currently 4MB (*.XLS) with approx 60,000 rows. This would continue to grow.
Questions I would need answered:
Can the database be stored on our own server?
Would we have ownership of the application once complete?
If the database is on our server and the app has access to our server, could this endanger our server security?
Are we safer storing the database on a 3rd party server or on our website?

Hi Sir! I'm doing a similar project, but that's more simple. And it's almost finished. I'm waiting for the customer's confirm. https://www.freelancer.com/projects/Mobile-Phone-Android/Simple-Android-app-including-source.html
I can finish your project in time. I have more than three years' experience in Android.
Can the database be stored on our own server?
Yes.
Would we have ownership of the application once complete?
Sure.
If the database is on our server and the app has access to our server, could this endanger our server security?
No, because you can give me only read access.
Are we safer storing the database on a 3rd party server or on our website?
Yes.
