Project Description

I am looking for an Android developer to join our small entrepreneurial team, to work closely with another Android developer and a backend developer on a young growing social app. Our small team is spread across geographies (the main developers are in Eastern Europe), and we work remotely communicating in Campfire.

This might be a job for you if:

- you are passionate about Android and are a kick-ass developer with well structured code

- you have the can-do attitude, stay in touch with the latest innovations and are clear in communication

- your Freelancer/oDesk/eLance overall rating is at least 4.8 stars

- you have experience with Google App Engine integration (this is a plus)

- you work well both independently and in a small team

- you are available full-time after a successful small pilot project

You'll be working on a fixed price basis, so if you are interested to apply for this role, please:

1) start your application with "I'm a kick-ass developer" sentence

2) include links to the code examples you've written e.g. on GitHub

3) give links to 3 apps live in Google Play that you are most proud of and a) explain your role in each of them (if you worked in a team); b) explain why you are proud of these apps

4) take "Android 3" exam on Freelancer (if not done already)

5) describe what motivated you in this project to apply

6) indicate your full-time monthly salary range you'd be looking for

After the initial review, we will discuss a small paid pilot project (up to 2 weeks). If completed successfully, you'll join the team working on the main app. You'll need to sign an NDA.
