Into the main topic: 1) Scenario: (about Hiking tracking) The focus is tracking a person (but can be also used as emergency alert). Imagine a scenario that a person wants to go hiking. The person set the application to auto send SMS every 5 minutes. So, while he does the hiking, SMS about location is sent to a server to be stored in database. The database consists of location, time and username. When somebody else (for example a headquarter) wants to check the position of the person. He can: - browse and open a website (your website) - login - check all the checkpoints of the hiker (in map,exp: google map access) 2) To build the system, it seems you need to know how to auto send SMS or create/rent a SMS gateway server. (Prefer you create your own sms gateway web) a) SMS gateway(example): [login to view URL] (got free trial of 20 sms free). But cant fully access to it easily. b) To automatically send sms (example source code) [login to view URL] e-user-need-to-approve (I just google, I didnt really tried it) 3) Requirement - Way (server to rescue & sent sms) - Application running on background - App auto send sms - Website to browse map according to location sent by SMS About this android app, Its necessary to send SMS to server, simply update your stats to server after 5 mins by sending your location to server using SMS only if no internet option (wifi). 4) Keypoint - Tracking - SMS - Case study: Hiking - Scope: area having (line?) connection 5) I need bidder to understand that im 1) don’t have/unable to provide backend for this 2) don’t know much to programming 3) unable to guide in knowledge, but can ask me whether the path is correct (I will refer to my supervisor) 6) Prefer for the bidder 1) much prefer if you can do all..
