Project Description


Techwatch bubble shooter is a game that allows the player to take command of a techwatch soldier as he uses a special cannon to blast his way through hordes of bubbles. In order to destroy the bubbles he has to match 3 or more bubbles of the same color while the bubbles slowly cave in the screen.. The more bubbles he links together the more points he makes. After every few levels he can go back to a lobby area in the form of a lab and purchase ungrades like special bubbles to help get to higher levels.

Gameplay- Instead of just matching colors user can also match elements to create special effects and gain massive amounts of points. Each icon represented by a different techwatch helmet will represent a different element. Players have the choice of going for the easy money by just matching the color or they can step it up and try to score the big points by using specific elements to destroy others. This allows them to drop power ups and unlockables for use in other games.

Special Effects-

While the game is like bubble pop I don’t want to have round bubbles i want have different shapes and colors. The shapes and colors will respresent materials needed to build different types of machinery. I want each color and icon represent a different type of force or Material. For example blue= ice, red = fire, purple = electricity, Silver = metal, brown =stone. Depending on how many bubbles they can string together and pop, i want the correct corresponding effect. Also I want them to be able to gain points or credits to be able to unlock extra boards or use the credits to unlock comic pages.

The game effects will help increase the replay value. Gameplay will be

Game Modes

Classic- This mode will be your basic bubble pop mode.

Story Mode- This mode allows you to play through the Techwatch story also allows you to unlock special features like, pages from a comic, character bios, unlockables for use in the game.

Survival mode- One board that does not change. The bubbles drop at a faster pace until they come crashing down. The object is to see how long you can maintain control by popping as many bubbles. After every minute the next round flashes across the screen and thus begins a new round at which time the speed increases. After you finish your score is ranked on the scoreboard.

Lobby area -

A lab area where players can use the points they gathered to unlock more boards, pages for the comic, character bios or piece together a robot (maybe).
