This is not to be a major project. Time is not critical. However, this does mean the budget is small.
With that said, due to how I would like this app to run, whoever takes it can list it on the app store for their own set price, and keep profits from it.
This application is to be used as a controller for a robot using an arduino, Ethernet shield, and router as it's core operation and contact point. The android device the app is running on will connect to the router on the robot, and send commands via said network to the arduino to run it's functions.
I have a very, VERY basic outline of what I would like the app to look like (attached below). I would like it to have the standard droid-based gui to it, and have a dark halo theme. The features are to include:
-Video window in the middle: this is to be linked to an IP camera
-To sliders on either side of the video screen: these should snag to the middle unless being moved by the user
-Settings button: this is to set the buttons/sliders/IP info up for the app (what commands to send when a button is pressed, etc)
-D pad: I would like this to be a virtual joystick, allowing for 8 way control (Up, down, left, right, and the 4 combos of these in the corners)
-9 buttons: These buttons would need to have adjustable text via the settings, so the command and label can be changed
-Radio button: to turn a feature of the robot on/off
-Landscape only: have the app locked to only work in landscape mode
Again: this is a micro project. This post is to test the waters for pricing of the matter.
