Project Description

This first (small) mobile web task is an opportunity to get selected for a long-term collaboration. You will need to guide us to set up a mobile web app using HTML5 with offline application cache. You will start from screenshots from an existing smartphone application (written in native code). We will also be available to give inputs and hints and to answer any questions.

Several criteria are important such as maximum compatibility with multiple platforms and OS and intuitive UI for users new to smartphone. We are looking for a professional (freelancer preferred) with a flexible and open mindset, a solid web app experience with different smartphones and screen sizes and also a clear insight in common underlying web app and browser technologies and their limitations (phone hardware access , interaction with webservices, cache,…). If additionally you can provide well-reasoned suggestions to improve the design (UI, navigation) of an existing smartphone application then this will also be valued.

For a successful collaboration, you need to feel comfortable with regular and open communication. For this task, you will have to prove what you can accomplish within 5 hours including about 1,5 hour of calls. We do expect that within these 5 hours you can provide us certain insights, create the set-up of the project and the structure of the html pages with some first coding. If we both feel comfortable at the end of this task then we can assign you the full html implementation of the next phase.

If you are interested, please send an overview of your references and experience and your offer for 5 hours of work. Feel free to contact me for questions.

Thanks for your interest and willingness to explore a collaboration.
