Project Description

This week, World Bank President Dr. Kim Jen appealed to people worldwide to tweet what #ittakes to end world poverty. This, in response to latest World Development Report which stated the global economy needs to create 600 million new jobs between 2005 and 2020 to absorb young people entering the work force, spur development, empower women and prevent unrest, mainly in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

I'd like to secure an editorial opportunity for a startup mobile client to either write a contributed article or be interviewed in a publication in South African and the Philippines about "4 mobile apps that have #ittakes to end world poverty"

Based on over 18 years of experience leading new initiatives from inception to implementation and significant sales, as well as deep experience working with both telecommunication technologies and emerging markets, my client can offer his perspectives on:

- what's needed to make mobile and social scale in developing countries

- challenges and opportunities to deliver/scale mobile social apps in rural populations, where more people have simple $10 mobile phones than access to electricity, and few have any convenient way to easily access a data connection.

real-world mobile apps - that vastly improve social networking and commerce.

Please send me your background and quote. I will pay once I speak with the editor and confirm their interest in an interview or article.
