This is a remote, project-based role. Our budget is $5000. We are definitely fine with remote workers. We are based in Atlanta, so if we find a great developer there, it's a plus, but we want to find the right person for the job first and foremost. There is definitely follow up work. We could begin work ASAP, but would definitely want to have a discussion with the developer first to make sure he/she is right for us.
The project is a mobile app with the purpose of helping people find friends (non-romantic, the purpose isn't to be a dating app). For example, helping a person who moves to a new city for work find other people in the same shoes who also have common interests. It would also be used to help travelers connect with one another so they can meet up, see the city, go out at night, etc. We see a number of other possibilities, but those are the initial parts of the app we would like to get up and running.
We're looking for an iOS app developer who has experience managing and helping create user interactions. We prefer someone who is comfortable and experienced interfacing with Facebook, LinkedIn, and user-inputted data to help create relationships between users with similar interests and personality types.
