Project Budget€250 - €5000 EUR
We need a mobile app, developed with phonegap ( [url removed, login to view] ) that will be available for iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry. Minimum system requirements should be the ones specified by phonegap.
For this project, *BOTH* design and development are needed. Design task will include creating all the icons and materials required to update the apps to the official stores (Google Play, Apple Store, AppWorld).
The app is a content agregator from a set of websites, using the websites RSS feeds. In case you need a different way to get the information, just send a comment.
The user can select the sites that are displayed on the home screen as a list, listing site names and logo. Using a preferences panel, user will be able to specify which websites he wants to subscribe. If the user has not specified a list of websites, all websites will be shown. The configuration is displayed first time is launched. Also the user will be able to specify the frequency to retrieve new content from the website (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours). From now on, the landing page show the list of suscribed sites.
On every selected site:
+ First click on a site, will lead the user to a list of news for that site. First time the app loads, it will get last 20 articles. After that, it will get new ones.
+ News are marked as read once the user has browsed until the end of the article.
+ The user will be able to mark articles for reading later.
+ The articles that has been read must be taken into account. After the user has read an article, it should disappear from the list of articles unless it has been marked for later read.
+ The user will be notified every time there is new content available on those websites, after the app checks for new content.
+ Quick and user friendly article browsing, as flipboard app or google currents.
+ Link to the next article at the end of every article (Image and title of the next article), so we can send the user to the next news on that feed.
+ User can share the article (twitter, Facebook, G+)
+ The app will have integration with Google Analytics to track pageviews.
The app will include version control and should be able to notify the user when it needs to be updated (in case the user is not getting the app from official app stores). In case the app needs updating, it should warn the user and open the mobile phone browser and send to the download page.
The app will react to screen rotation, and adapt the design accordingly, at least on iPad/iPhone and Android.
