Project Description

We have source code of one desktop application software that was written back in 1998 in Visual Studio 97 environment. 90% of the code written in VC++ 5 and 10% was in VB 5. We need to upgrade the source code to recent Visual Studio .Net platform. More specifically, VC++5 codes will need to be upgraded to VC++.Net and VB 5 to VB.Net. There are total of approximately 22 modules and out of these 21 are of VC++ 5 and rest one is of VB 5. Please note that, VB 5 part is only to facilitate the users to enter data into a SQL Server 6.5 database. But database upgrade is NOT required.

The software is using some (3 to 4) 3rd party software tools as well. Such as, Spyworks, Firstgraph, Olectra Chart. So, compatible versions of all these for .Net platform will need to be collected (from online). However, these can be arranged by us as well. These are not free and need to buy online:

The upgrade project has to be completed in 10 man-days (max).

We are not giving the source codes here. That can be shared once a deal is closed finally.

Payment Terms (from our end):

1. The freelancer will give us upgraded code

2. We will then run that code at our end

3. Once all codes run, we will make payment

** Please note that, free lancer will not be able to run the code as because one will need some special network setup to run this code. We have that setup at our end. He/she will just need to upgrade the codes and give to us and the we will run at our end. This might take few iterations.
