Project Description

There is a requirement to modify the Progress Note Detail page in an existing C# web application to ensure that if the note is a Medicaid program type then the procedure code used is one that is in the list of authorized procedure codes.

Another validation routine that needs to occur when the note is saved is to make sure that the total number of units authorized is not exceeded with the units that are to be added by the save request. If it does exceed, a message will need to be displayed to the user stating that the number of units authorized has been exceeded.

When the page is loaded with a progress note, the call to the database that gets the note details to go on the page should also get the number of units that have been used as well as the number remaining on the authorization. These two values should be added to the page. A suggestion is to use some type of graphical indicator that shows something like 270 out of 312 units as being the current unit utilization.

There is also a need to create a stored procedure that will return the authorizations that are within X number of units of the maximum number of units authorized or within Y days of the end date of the authorization. For this stored procedure X and Y should be arguments that are passed into the stored procedure but with defaults of X = 30 and Y = 20. Another stored procedure should also return all authorizations that have already exceeded their authorized number units or have Medicaid progress notes that exceed the authorized date range.

There also needs to be a new page that uses this stored procedure so the user can query and identify authorizations that are near or have exceeded their limits in terms of the remaining units or end date of authorization.
