We have a self-developed CRM software, primary built in Classic ASP with a MS SQL 2008 database. Each of our customers is on their own dedicated server provided with different subdomain.
We also have an ASP.Net 4.0 (developed in VB.NET) that connects to the database to provide webservice functions with .asmx files, this “webservice solution” aslo has .aspx files that we use to connect to external webservices. These are mainly being executed with AJAX from our Classic ASP solution.
In our software we have a self-developed calendar (good structured database), this calendar has features like notification over SMS, possibility to change colours, meting types (external, internal, phone meeting etc.), participants (added from our user table in the software), and files that the user uploads to the event (the files is accessible with a URL).
We want to synchronize these events with Google Calendar, and Office 365.
We are open to suggestions about how this should work. But we have mainly planned to add 3 files to our .Net project:
1 First files creates the link between the user and Google / Microsoft
2 Synchronize a specific event id from our system to the external calendar
3 Downloading events from external calendars and add calendars events to external calendars if changes have been done that haven’t been synchronized with the other file.
