Our company has developed an internal Microsoft Access 2007 database to track health and safety incidents, the application took about 200 hours to complete in MS-access including the SQL Server 2005 database design.
Although the application currently works, it is safe to assume
The application requires a re-write to a web application, our standard is C# [url removed, login to view] using at minimum .Net framework 2.0.
The project will entail the following:
1) Re-write of the MS-Access forms and vba logic to an [url removed, login to view] web app and logic utilizing C#.Net and object oriented design patterns.
2) Develop detailed reports in PDF or another format which will end up being easily exportable to PDF.
3) Utilize existing SQL Server 2005 database, however additions and enhancements to the database will be needed based on web application requirements.
The application currently contains two main data capture forms, one is the health and safety incident alert form and the second an incident investigation form. The second form is divided into about 7 sub-forms. There are about 5 other forms which are used to administer the application security, metadata, etc and execute reports.
There is security within the application which distinguishes user roles as administrator, and specific access to incidents as no access, read-only and write.
The security in the application will by default use Microsoft Active Directory/NT/windows security as it currently does, but should fail over to a user/password login if active directory is for some reason not available.Get free quotes for a project like this
