Project Description

We require you to develop a postcode based search facility for MOT Centers (Car tests). We have a database of MOT Centers, including their postcode and lat/lon info in a SQL Server 2012 DB.

We need the work done in [url removed, login to view] VB using some Ajax.

The website visitor will see the search page and enter their postcode and some other search fields. The results will come back on the same page as a list of MOT centres. On the right hand side of the page a google map will be displayed that shows the location of each mot centre. If you hover over each mot icon on the map, it will show some basic details and give you a link to take you to the relevant MOT Centre detail page. If you decide to do another postcode search you wil stay on the same page and the Ajax will refresh accordingly.

One very important aspect. We are current not using [url removed, login to view] to build the site. We have used asp, but are calling the pages .aspx. This will mean that the use of master pages and other aspects of [url removed, login to view] may not work. This is because we do not have [url removed, login to view] skillset in house.

We are looking for someone that we can build a longer term relationship with. There will be many components that need to be built in this manner, and we want to have continuity with the same developer throughout the project.

We would like someone who can start on the 12th August. Ideally we would like the work completed within that week.

I will also require good commenting for each part of the code, explaining what it does and why. Your location does not matter, we can use skype, email and phone.
