Ground-rules for this assignment are as follows:
• You should read all the Europe-related news in 1) one print issue of the New York Times (available in the entrances to the HRCB), 2) one issue of The Economist magazine (available at newsstands or through the BYU library), and 3) one online issue of a Europe-based newspaper. If you can read in a European language, I encourage you to find a newspaper in that language. If you need to read in English, I suggest the British newspaper The Guardian (make sure you choose the UK, not the US, edition).
• The first half of your paper should list the newspapers and magazines you read and summarize the major European news of the week. The second half should offer your own reactions, insights, and opinions on the events you read about.
