Hello, thank you for considering this position. Please read the entire description before bidding.
I'm hiring a developer as an independent contractor. I'm looking for an end to end, web application developer to continue the development of SAAS, web app with an ajax interface. Ideally I'd like to find someone who could continue to make additions and maintain the application on an hour by our basis after the initial application development is finished. At most we would need about 4-6 hours per day until the application is complete. Once the application is complete work on this app will be less infrequent, only when new features need to be added or bug fixes. We have plans to create future apps, so there will be an opportunity for ongoing part time work.
All work will be done remotely on your testing server where I'll be able to log in and approve milestones as they are completed.
This app focuses on Ecommerce and inventory type tasks so it involves importing different types of data and displaying it, allowing the user to add additional fields, update notes, and perform other processes.
Applicants should be experienced with php, ajax, css, mySQL, SAAS development and web API's (relevant api's will be amazon store, ebay, magento, shopify and Facebook)
A clean wireframe version of the first portion of the App is already functional.
All of the layout has been thought through so it should be possible to keep the design close to the mockups.
The previous developer has done an excellent job and will be available to answer questions during the transition.
Once an applicant is chosen and NDA and a Developer agreement are signed they'll receive mockup images and descriptions for all sections and nearly all windows of the app.
Work will be done on an hourly basis. All work will be divided into into 4-8 hour milestones and those milestones will be agreed upon before work begins. (These will be estimates, acceptable overages will be accommodated) Unless otherwise agreed each milestone will be finished and paid before work on subsequent milestones commences.
Also, In addition to an estimate of billable hours for each milestone I'd also like to get an estimated date of when the milestone will be complete.
It's important that all functionality be tested for each milestone before it is submitted. Of course perfection is not expected while the app is in progress but basic testing should be done before each submission.
Commenting and clean code will be mandatory. While we would love to be able to work with only one developer for the life of the app, stuff happens, and someone else may need to pick up and continue work so it's important that things are clean and well commented.
I put a high importance on my business relationships, honesty is an imperative. Value for value. If this is how you work as well, we should get a long great.
To avoid automated bid responses only applicants who begin their bid with the following sentence will be considered: I like a tidy database. Thank you for reading, I look forward to your bid.
All work will be done as an independent contractor. All rights to the code will remain property of the buyer, this arrangement is laid out clearly in the Developer Agreement.
* CSS/XHTML/HTML5: layout and design
* 3+ years working with PHP and MySQL or equivalent web scripting/database experience
* Previous experience with SAAS development
* English fluency as well as the ability to write clearly and read all communications with full comprehension, asking for clarification when necessary.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
