Project Description

My company is involved in the human resources industry and we recently bought a license to a software package that allows for XML data interchange among users. The software is based on an XML module that allows for automatic transmission of data either from another user's desktop software or through a proprietary web interface.

We need a proprietary web system built for us that will integrate with this XML module. The developers of the XML module have provided us with a 126 page "Specification document" that explicitly describes how the XML functions can be configured for use in a web interface. They also have provided a .zip file with XML samples using their XML specifications and schema. According to these developers, everything needed to build a proprietary web interface is there.

Obviously this is not much information to work with, but due to confidentiality issues this is all we can really tell you. Essentially, the desktop software receives orders from the propriety website (that needs to be built), and once the order is fulfilled, the results are sent back to the proprietary website (again, to be built). This is facilitated through the XML platform that we bought a license to.

The freelancer must have extensive XML programming experience, web programming experience (either php, .net, or whatever language you think is best for utilizing the XML module).

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. Otherwise, provide a ballpark figure for what you would ask to build this sort of web interface.
