Project Description

This is a simple project and we want the coder to use Ruby on Rails. We have been given a rating of 10 by the coders who have worked with us. We have several longer term Rails projects in progress and we want to find a top-notch coder to work with us. We will pay a $100+ bonus upon successful completion of this project. The site is a simple discussion forum that works as follows: The homepage is a summary of all discussion activity on the site. The topic page shows comments, surveys, web links, etc. for each topic. The user preferences page allows the user to set up his/her preferences. Users can sign up for the site, log into the site, post comments, post surveys, post essay ideas, contribute to essays, answer surveys, and give "props" to rate comments. The mock-ups are in flash so just download flash player to view them. More detail is available in the attached zip file. We are rated a 10 by coders who work with us. We will give you plenty of feedback on the specs, etc.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional website that is ready for production. 2) All code must be owed by the buyer, no third party objects that are licensed restrictively. 3) The coder must be sure to be clear on what the buyer is looking for. This may require some communication about details. The buyer is willing to do this in a timely fashion. 4) Good use of semantic HTML and CSS is a must, but the design doesn't need to be perfect. We just need to be able to have a CSS expert do a final stylesheet. 5) Notifications must also send an email to the user.

## Platform

linux or windows, rails 1.2, mysql or postgres. Must work in IE6, Firefox 1.5, and Safari
