C++ Chat Server / Client

SERVER MUST 1 - written in c++ ( must compile with VC++ ) 2 - Allow for at least 5000 connections to the server. 3 - Have and use a simple protocol. 4 - Allow clients to sign on by accepting username / password. 5 - Allow for multiple "channels" ( users may join/leave/make a channel ) 6 - Allow channels to have a password 7 - Allow for a client to send a message to a channel where the result is that ALL other clients on this channel get the message. 8 - Allow for a client to send a message to another client where the result is that ONLY the othe client receives the message. 9 - Allow for a broadcast message that will be received by all clients. CLIENT MUST 1 - written in c++ ( must compile with VC++, must use cout and cin ) 2 - connect to the server and demonstrate items above DELIVERABLES Source code ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
