Fire Station Pre-Alert

Please help us with a software problem. We want to use either TCPDump in Ubuntu Linux Server to create a program that will capture network traffic. This network traffic is coming from a county computer (CAD Dispatch for a Fire Station) to a printer in our station with a dedicated IP Address. We want to capture this traffic and basically save a copy of the printout on the computer. Then we would like to analyze this printout line by line for apparatus that is to be dispatched. The first step though is use a network sniffer to capture the prinout coming from another computer to a printer in our station.

## Deliverables

Our overall goal is to capture the printout (it still needs to print though) and display that information through audible sound outputs and visual messages on pre-existing betabrite message boards. This will take a lot of coordination between us and we will not be able to pay for everthing until it has been tested and works correctly here. We would like to thank whoever decides to work on this our heartfelt gratitude for assisting a fire station in getting quick information. Whoever decides to work on the project will need lots more information on how to implement it including sample incident history prinouts and we can even give them the old program which sometimes works (maybe they can even fix that program!!!!)
