THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A FREELANCE INDIVIDUAL (NOT A COMPANY) TO PROVE THEMSELVES AND JOIN OUR TEAM ON AN ONGOING BASIS. FOR THE RIGHT PERSON, THIS WILL LEAD TO A PERMANENT ROLE
We are currently far advanced in building an application / cloud-based software for which we require additional development resource in order to meet timescales. The opportunity is initially to help get the product to launch within tight timescales, but has the potential to turn into a long term ongoing contract should we find the right caliber of people.
We are looking for one coder, for 8 hours per day 5 days a week. All work is managed through VCS (GIT) and the team environment is monitored via Teamworks PM. We have a cheif technical officer in the UK, to whom the chosen developers will report to on a daily basis.
ALL SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SKYPE INTERVIEW WITH OUR CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER (CTO) BASED IN LONDON SO GOOD LEVEL OF CONVERSATIONAL AND WRITTEN ENGLISH IS ESSENTIAL. All applicants will also be subject to 2 week trial period.
Specific technical skills which are essential are as follows. Please only apply if you meet all of them. Applicants who can demonstrate and privide evidence of the following skills will be given preferential treatment:
- PHP / Codeigniter
- CSS3 / LESS
- Design patterns, closures
- Test driven development
- Good knowledge of SQL
- VCS (Git)
- Experience with continuous integration build systems and multiple environments
