CMS Developer - Contract (F/T or P/T)

• Love the intersection of Entertainment and Technology? • Mixture of web, database, CMS and mobile apps development • Redevelopment of existing platform • Immediate start • Contract Role: 6-8 weeks Our company is an innovative mobile media, marketing and advertising start-up enabling agencies, publishers, and content owners to successfully monetize the mobile channel. We’re currently seeking a developer to build a CMS to be used as the foundation of our new mobile content management and delivery platform. Whilst some code already exists, its most likely you’ll be required to use your Digital Asset and CMS experience to recreate the module from the ground up. The role is perfect for a highly motivated, commercially minded self starter with the ability to work autonomously and future proof the build for ease of integration into other platform modules such as site builder & apps development, content delivery, billing and marketing platforms. Essential Skills: • 3+ years programming and development experience; • Demonstrated experience with object-oriented software design. • Functional knowledge of, and exposure to, a range of programming languages (eg Cold Fusion, Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl, and Java), markup languages (eg xHTML, HTML5, XML and WML) and rapid development frameworks (eg. CakePHP, Zend, Codeigniter, Rails, Django); • Advanced knowledge of SQL database. MySQL is preferred, but Oracle and other RDBMS are acceptable. Highly desirable are the following: • Device Detection databases • Experience with iPhone and Android SDKs and other mobile site builder tools; • Good understanding of Apache (configuration and operation, and use of its core modules such as mod_rewrite, mod_alias, etc.), • UNIX and Windows OS • Experience in developing optimized high-traffic web and or wireless applications in production environments. • Functional knowledge of XML/XSL and relevant technologies such as SOAP, REST, RSS, etc. • Experience with CVS and/or Subversion. • Project management experience in the web/mobile space Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
