Project involves converting a franchise's registration website (frontend and backend) from ColdFusion to PHP.
The site allows users to register for a location and class and pay online. The rest is mainly administrative functions, such as viewing and modifying the registrations, setting up locations and classes, and so on. Nothing is complicated or complex, but it's a sizable system.
There is also a list of new features that need to be added during the development process.
Once accepted you will have access to the existing, ColdFusion code to see how it works, and FTP and MySQL (PHPMyAdmin) access for the database on the development server. The existing database (structure and data) will have been copied over already for you, and the framework of the new site will already be set up and in place (including overall design / HTML / CSS, header and footer, account and other various classes and functions). The site will not be built on an existing CMS program, we expect custom code. Development platform is cPanel on Linux, Apache and PHP 5. The code doesn't need to be crazy OOP, but we prefer everything to be clean, organized, easy to build onto and commented.
Due to the proprietary nature of this project the specifics will need to be discussed over the phone. I can walk you through the existing site and explain how it works so you have an idea of what the project involves.
We're looking for possibly two programmers, so teams may apply.
I am the lead developer for this project and will interview potential candidates, require proof of experience and competence, and will oversee the project and make sure everything meets the requirements and standards.
*Do not bid if you don't have the time to get involved in a sizable project that may span over a few months.
* We only want experienced developers, and ones that can prove it and have a good rating and reviews.
* We expect you to do some work before compensation begins to make sure you're on track and doing acceptable work. If so, compensation will be broken down monthly over the length of the project.
* This is phase 1 of the project, and if a good relationship can be built we may have additional work after this phase is completed.
