Project Description

We are a small team running a succesful e-commerce business primarily focused on the UK market.

We would like to take the website multi-lingual and geo target 12 new countries.

To do this we have had translations completed for each country we intend to target.

Each country will sit on the existing website domain e.g. [url removed, login to view]

The existing website has 100's of pages indexed in google, each translated version will have about 15 pages dedicated to pre-amble prior to order.

Before we start adding the translations/countries to the operational English site we require some work done.

Convert front end of existing site to a suitable CMS- allowing access for multiple parties and able to accomodate multi-lingual.

A general tidy up of code where required (the site has been on auto-pilot for a few years)

A general tweak of look and feel of graphics and template as we are aware the site looks dated- this must be done without dramatic change of the site that our many repeat customers are familiar with- so a very general tweak of look.

The second part of the project will be the addition of a single country to the domain for testing. This will be France.

Our own top notch SEO team will guide you/us on how to go about adding the French pages (they should appear as a standalone site on the current domain we use).

Once we have succesfully added France to the exisitng website we will proceed with the eleven other countries.

As we predict growth and increased sales by going multi-lingual we are looking for an ongoing relationship with a suitable team, removing the need to build a team in-house.

We do have our own in- house IT manager and you will work with him doing the necessary tasks as required, adding expertise where we are lacking, and helping maintain the site as it grows.

He may farm out jobs as and when from design to development and you will bring your own suggestions to the table.

We predict we will also require additional customer support in the future to handle the increase in sales so it would be benefical if your company/team could handle this, and we feel it is essential you operate in a country with reasonable labour rates.

We will meet, NDA's etc as we hope to estalish an on-going relationship, based on a monthly retainer.

Please reply with 'UK Business Seeks IT team to Plug into existing management' at the top of your pitch and explain the skill sets of your company and highlight current portfolio of clients.

We are a great team, who require some help in the IT department. The business has been extremely successful, and we wish to breathe new life into it.

You must be able to grasp the objective (ultimately taking the site multi-lingual and maintaining a smoothe customer experience) and be ok with following instruction.

Thanks for your time.

You can quote a monthly rate or an hourly rate for an experienced developer- we suggest hourly rates with a monthly ceiling limit of 3,000USD to start with.

As this business is pretty simple it may not soak up alot of time once the above tasks are complete, but we have other projects we wish to launch and are unable to do this without a decent IT team in place- you will be given active roles in these which will maintain an ongoing contract.

Once again we are doing this as an alternative to going out into the market and recruiting an in-house developer/ designer and adding to our team- please understand we are looking for a team to become very much part of our existing infrastructure/family.

We have the resources to build out many many more projects and intend to do so over the next few years.
