This project involves the conversion of a correspondence course using a combination of printed materials and audio cassettes. There are 36 lessons in all, but this phase of the project is for 9 lessons. Please do not bid on the total. If you do a fantastic job on the first phase, you will, of course, be in a great position to continue the work. As the lessons are now, they involve very simple desktop publishing formatting: two columns on 8.5 x 11 paper. They vary in length from about 20-30 pages. They are in PageMaker 6.5. I want to convert the layout to something that appears more aesthetic in a browser. For the record, when I say "aesthetic," I really mean gorgeous, not just clean, but elegant and beautiful. Personally, I hate PageMaker but let's not argue here. The material is text heavy so PageMaker worked better than Quark XPress 10 years ago when the material was first formatted. Once converted, each lesson would be available as a separate purchase. I have not decided whether to make it downloadable or only viewable. These are matters to discuss and informed input would be valued. My goal is to limit plagiary, a difficult undertaking. The second part is to create the accompanying audio files. Again, these would work in the same way. The master tapes are on DAT and were moved to audio cassettes that have now gone through the duplicator many times. It might be better to redo them, but I want studio quality sound so I might need some input, but obviously, it's my job to supply the sound and the winning coder's job to interface it with the text and e-commerce. Coders bidding on this project should have experience with desktop publishing, internet publishing, and the creation of CD-ROMs. Samples of work must be submitted so the standard can be assessed accurately. Many thanks for your time and consideration.
