I need to have a way to validate answers given to a form on a node. These validations need to be stored in the database for further reporting we do on that information. I think the easiest way to do this is with CCK Computed Field. The equation is the easy part. What I can not figure out is how to have the answer displayed in a dropdown list that an admin can then override. There are several questions on the node that we will need to validate that the answer provided falls in a range. I thought the best way to do this was with CCK Computed fields. If the answer that is calculated with the computed field falls outside the accepted range for that answer, then the dropdown would display (review) if it fell within the acceptable range it would say (accepted). The final thing is to is let a user override the (review) to have a last status called (review accepted) The system would need to be able to see the (review accepted) state and not override it back to (review). I need someone to figure out how to make a cck computed field output work like this. I have a lot of them to do but if someone can develop the first one I can handle changing the variables and inputs for all others.
If CCK Computed Field is not the right choice I am open to other suggestions.
