Project Description

I have data currently stored in an Excel file.

The data consists of a grid of dollar values for varous round-the-world fares according to:
Airline Alliance (4:- Star Alliance; OneWorld (x2 versions); SkyTeam)
Class of service (2:- Economy; Business Class)
Length of trip (3 or 4 'fare bands' per alliance per class)
Country of purchase/origin of travel (total of 211 jursidictions)
The consolidated data in the final worksheet thus comprises around 7000 cells (many are identical and some are nul (no service provided for certain originating countries and/or fare-bands)

What I require is to have the data converted into a searchable database that will drill down to provide the resultant value of a query for any combination of variables (Alliance/Class/Length/Country). The programme will have to be able to have the data updated easily from the source Excel worksheet by someone (myself!) who has no coding skills (and no understanding of what goes on 'under the hood'). Query responses are to be displayed in an html form on my website (not yet constructed, pending the outcome of of this post). My server is updated to PHP/MySQL version 5.

I am taking a wild guess at the complexity and time required to provide this service so please feel free to bid under and over the target budget.

If you have done anything similar to this please direct me to any projects that I could view.
If you have suggestions or ideas that could improve the functionality of this project, feel free to bring them to my attention. I will appreciate any hand-holding you can provide!

Sample Excel file and Query form suggestions attached below if you need them to figure out what I'm after. In the Excel file the data you will be working from are on sheets 2 and 3 (tabbed 'USD Y [economy class] all fares' and 'USD C [business class] all fares'. Good luck!

Cheers, Barry
